Melania’s opulent Christian Dior dress, designed by John Galliano, from her January 2005 wedding
to Donald Trump was listed for sale at $45,000 (or best offer)—a steep discount from the reported $100,000 she originally paid for it.
Writer Liana Satenstein alerted her “Neverworns” Substack subscribers on Tuesday, March 25, that the couture gown seemed to be up for grabs on eBay.
According to the seller, the dress has only been worn twice—once by Melania and once by the current owner, who claimed to have purchased it directly from the First Lady in 2010 for $70,000 to wear at her own wedding.

The extravagant gown, which boasts over 500 hours of hand-sewn Swarovski crystal beading and a dramatic 13-foot train, has been listed on eBay since January but has yet to find a buyer.
Skepticism over the dress’s authenticity may be playing a role in the lack of interest.
A source told WWD that the listing does not feature Melania’s actual wedding dress, which is still in her possession at Mar-a-Lago.
The seller acknowledged making significant alterations to the gown, explaining in the eBay listing: “Because Melania Trump was a size 0-2, I had to have this dress made a little bigger as I was a size 4-6.
