Joo is an incredibly intelligent dog, as my aunt often points out, but he was left behind by his previous owner in a secluded and seldom-traveled empty lot.
Surviving on insects he would find and even licking water off leaves just to stay alive, Joo had a tough time. While other dogs enjoyed meals of pâté and dog food and played happily, Joo endured a difficult and lonely existence for six years.
When I learned about Joo’s plight, I immediately went to find him. The sight was heartbreaking — a corner of the house was falling apart, and Joo was trembling in pain. Without a second thought, I put him in my car and took him to a safer place.
Contrary to what I had imagined, Joo was a kind and gentle dog, though his eyes carried a hint of sadness, likely tied to his troubled past.
Remarkably, Joo made a swift recovery, yet it was clear he had experienced a lot. Despite the hardships, he displayed incredible resilience.
Today, Joo’s life has taken a wonderful turn. He has been adopted into a loving family where he is truly cherished. Known for his intelligence and warmth, Joo is truly a remarkable dog with a heart of gold.
