**Heroic Dog Saves Two Children from Puma in Daring Rescue**
In a remarkable display of bravery, a courageous dog named Morocho heroically protected two young girls from a puma, also known as a mountain lion, preventing what could have been a tragic incident.
A few months ago, Ulises, the grandson of Dr. Nores Martines, who is the originator of the Dogo Argentino breed, planned a trip to La Cocha for some errands.
Accompanied by his 10-year-old daughter, Sofa, the journey was intended to be a day trip. Upon reaching the estancia, Ulises began working alongside the foreman, Tomás.
Meanwhile, Sofa and Tomás’ daughter, Yoli, received permission to venture to a large fig tree located about 700 yards from the main house.
The girls set off to pick and enjoy some figs. Eager to reach the choicest figs typically found at the top, Yoli climbed higher into the tree. However, she soon realized she was not alone.
High above, Yoli heard the rustling sound of the branches and leaves, and suddenly, she noticed a large puma descending through the tree. The creature swiped at her, causing Yoli to fall from a height of two meters, landing flat on her back.
Fortuitously, Morocho, one of Ulises’ distinguished Dogo Argentinos, accompanied the girls on their walk, playfully trotting alongside them. As the children cried out, Yoli’s father, Tomás, rushed to their aid, fearing the worst.
“I expected to find a snake,” Tomás Bracamonte recounted, “but I ran as quickly as I could.” Upon reaching the site, he discovered Morocho, determined to face off against the puma.
Despite being gravely injured, the brave dog had successfully driven the puma away, ensuring the girls’ safety.
Today, Yoli and Sofa owe their lives to Morocho’s selfless act. His heroism has touched the hearts of many around the world, casting light on the protective nature of our loyal companions.
