Last year in Bali, a member of the animal rescue organization Street Paws stumbled upon a distressing scene—a severely underweight cat, covered in a sticky, black substance.
The staff suspected the poor cat had become ensnared by a large mouse trap. Without hesitation, the rescuer scooped up the cat and rushed him to the nearest veterinarian.
At the clinic, veterinarians diligently worked for hours to carefully remove the adhesive from the cat’s fur. They named him Timothy and provided him with much-needed nourishment and hydration.

In his weakened state, Timothy could hardly move, yet he found solace in the gentle hands of his rescuers and slowly started to regain his energy.
Eli, one of Street Paws’ dedicated rescuers, visited Timothy daily at the clinic. She witnessed his gradual recovery and was thrilled when Timothy was ready to move from the hospital to a foster home.

His initial rescuer, Mayang, kindly volunteered to foster him. Surrounded by Mayang and her other rescue cats, Timothy continued to improve.

In a video interview with The Dodo, Eli shared, “He gained weight, and his fur began to grow back.”
As the weeks passed, Timothy’s personality and appearance transformed. His eyes sparkled, and his stunning gray-and-white coat returned to its full splendor. He looked like an entirely new cat.
“He turned out to be even more beautiful than what we expected,” Eli remarked.

During this period, Mayang’s bond with Timothy deepened, and she realized she couldn’t bear to part with him.
Eli fondly described this as “a classic foster fail.”

Today, Timothy enjoys a happy life with Mayang and his feline siblings, far removed from the perilous streets where he was once found.
